If you are fortunate to unlock the unicorn, war horse, baker or engineer then you'll have an easier time of it! The only buff I used was the archery tower. Your boat can transport four archers, three builders and three knights (along with their archers) make sure to bring all of these troops with you to the next island along with a full coin purse. Make sure you have at least tier 3 walls if attacking in the first five days or tier 4 walls if attacking after that as after destroying a portal the greed attack back much stronger the next night. To buff the knights you just need to give them coins. Portals can normally be defeated with 1 fully buffed knight although its safer to send two or three. If you cut down the final tree before a lost souls camp or trading post then that camp will disappear! Manpower is as important as gold! Make sure you don't destroy a camp unless you have access to either another camp or the bakery.įrom the second island onwards you'll need to clear a portal before you can escape the island, attack as soon as you possibly can. The best way of generating coin is too cut down trees either side of your base to create fields for rabbits to spawn for your archers too hunt. You'll need three knights to attack portals and take on the boat (can only take two on the first island), don't waste resources recruiting more than three knights on a side. You only need two or three builders until you build catapults which need two builders to operate them, so make sure you buy the extra hammers then. To be able to build tier 3/4 buildings you need to find the Monolith and spend seven coins upgrading it to stone. You can tell which side your dock is on by either exploring if there are no portals in the way or when you 1st unlock the boat the tallest side of the boat is the direction of the port. On the final two Islands you'll need tier 4 walls along with catapults on both sides of your base. On the first three islands you only need to build tier 4 walls, archery towers and catapults on the opposite side of your base to the dock. Expanding further than this will spread you too thin. When building your base only build the first two walls either side of your base.
